The biggest challenge for singers is singing high without breaking. Untrained or improperly trained voices often load irrelevant muscle tissue, which means muscles that are not related to singing or are not helpful. We release the swallowing muscles, the rectus abdominis muscles, and the hyoid bone, which interfere with the free vibration of the vocal cords. This results in no longer reaching for high notes or digging out low notes. Here is our method: train the voice to sing effortlessly throughout the entire range, so that every pitch requires minimal effort. We firmly believe that singing should not be tense or pushed.

We teach a friendly compression technique that balances and maximizes vocal efficiency. Since compression or vocal cord closure is needed to produce pitch, vocal training is aimed at reducing over-squeezing and over-breathing pitches.

In addition, we train singers to gradually transition through resonance from chest voice to head voice by using mixed voice (or what most industry professionals refer to as "mixing").The vocal cords are reimagined not as muscles that need to be stretched, but more like a zipper. The vocal cords should actually thin out in the early stages of stretching and then "tighten up" as higher notes approach.

This means you have a shortened vibratory surface, resulting in higher pitches. It's a bit like fretting a guitar string instead of continuing to stretch it until it breaks.

We teach a simple philosophy about breath control: vocal cords control breathing. In other words, the proper amount of vocal cord closure produces the appropriate amount of air required for balanced tone. However, the breathing techniques for singing are a deep well. We often discuss various breathing methods with advanced singers.

Maintaining sound health is crucial for achieving vocal breakthroughs. We teach singers to avoid vocal misuse, overuse, and abuse. This can only be achieved by eliminating tension, thoroughly developing your voice registers, implementing proper warm-up and cool-down protocols, and understanding your current vocal limitations.t.
